The online platform is taking form

The team agreed on a gross list of functionalities and facilities of the toolbox portal, which main focus is to make sure that it is simple and user-friendly for the intermediaries.

The work on the online platform was set off in April 2019 with the forming of an international team with members from VIA University College, Häme University of Applied Sciences Ltd, Gdansk University of Technology and Lithuanian Innovation Centre.

The team agreed on a gross list of functionalities and facilities of the toolbox portal, which main focus is to make sure that it is simple and user-friendly for the intermediaries, who will be the main users of the toolbox portal.

To ease the process, the team focused on two tasks – “Tutorial design” – and “Development of Bid tender catalogue”. The aim of “Tutorial design” gave the bid-tender inspiration for development of the toolbox portal – setting an idea to the wireframe and graphic design in a tutorial manner so the toolbox works intuitive and if possible self-guiding for the user.

The aim of the second task was to develop a specification catalogue for the bid-tender process. This catalogue included setting the objective of building the toolbox portal, defining the different user groups, content and other requirements for the portal.

Four companies to bid on the assignment

To select the best company, all partner countries sought in their network to find relevant companies to bid on the assignment. This ended out in a total of 8 companies.

To ensure that the companies were capable of taking on the job, a prequalification survey was made. This resulted in four companies, two from Poland and two from Denmark, who were invited to make a bid.

Advicer chosen to develop the toolbox platform

After evaluating the incoming four bids, Danish Advicer were chosen in a neck-to-neck race with Polish Blue drew.
Advicer developed a paper prototype and a mock-up version of the portal, which was presented at the Project Management Team meeting. The name of the portal is yet to be decided.
